The ending was provocative and shocking, but definitely very satisfying with a strong sense of closure. This book completely knocked me off my feet by how easy it was to be absorbed in and once I opened it I didn't want to stop for anything.

Samantha dies at the start of the book in a horrible car crash after a party and then wakes up to relive the same day again for seven days until she realises what she has to do. I loved this book because it brought me back to my teenage years in the time this book was released and I ended up really caring for Sam, her friends, her family and the other main characters of the book.

You can download roses for your friends and write messages on them. It is a day full of competition and crying, because the more roses you get, the more popular you must be. If you read and love this book, which everybody should, I would definitely recommend watching the movie. I read it a month or so before the movie came out, and I have to admit, the book was much better than the movie. It is a beautifully written and extremely realistic story by Lauren Oliver about Samantha Kingston, who relives her life several times to find a way in which she can survive a deadly car crash she suffered, all while learning terrifying secrets about her loved ones.

This book is chair-gripping and there will definitely be moments when you will be laughing aloud, while at other times, the story will be too sad and heart-breaking. Definitely a must read for any teen. As for the movie, it doesn't share the whole story. It is an alright movie to watch when you have nothing to do, but do not expect much from it. A lot of the important scenes have been altered or completely deleted. Professor Blake knows how I feel about the war, about soldiers.

Not with my dad and everything the war has done to him. Noah has some very well-placed friends that want him very much to succeed here. Just thinking about what the war has done to my dad makes it difficult to breathe. Principles are for people who can afford them. I take a deep, cleansing breath.

You can translate. Professor Blake removes her glasses with a quiet sigh. This is one of the Southern Ivies. A top school in the southeast that I have no business being at except for my dad, who knew the dean of the law school from his time in the army.

There are things worse than death and my dad lives with them every day because he had done what he had to do to provide for me. I will not let him down.

When do I start? Make contact and see what his schedule is. If not for her and my friend Abby, I would have left from the sheer overwhelming force of being surrounded by money and wealth and all the intangibles that came along with it.

So if I need to tutor some blockhead soldier to repay her kindness, then so be it. Graduating from this program is my one chance to take care of my dad and I will not fail. Noah I hate being on campus. I feel old.

Part of me envies them. The casual nonchalance as they stroll from class to class, listening to music without a care in the world. It feels surreal.

I erred on the side of caution — khakis and a button-down polo. LT would be proud of me.

I think. I almost grin at the thought. LT is still looking after me. His parents are both academics, and it is because of him that I am even here. I told him there was no fucking way I was going to make it into the business school because math was basically a foreign language to me. He said tough shit and had helped me apply. My phone vibrates in my pocket, distracting me from the fact that my happy ass is lost on campus. Kind of hard to navigate when the terrain is buildings and mopeds as opposed to burned-out city streets and destroyed mosques.
